Wipe them dry. Black oxide is a corrosion-resistant finish, not a corrosion-proof one, and it lasts longest with a light film of oil on it.

About this product
Sixteen combination wrenches in black oxide, with a 15 degree offset for tight work.
Drop-forged alloy steel, raised panel shafts, 12 point chamfered box ends and engraved sizes, in a roll-up case with a hand strap.
Sixteen combination wrenches covering 1/4 inch to 1-1/4 inch, which is 6 mm to 32 mm.
Each has a 15 degree angled open end and a 12 point chamfered box end, so a nut can be turned in a fraction of a full swing.
The raised panel design puts material back into the shaft, which is what stops a long wrench flexing under real torque.
They roll up in a labelled case with a hand strap, which fits in a toolbox or hangs on a wall.
The offset is the feature that earns its keep. A 15 degree angle on the open end means the wrench can be flipped over between pulls, and two flips give you a smaller effective swing than the nut's own geometry allows.
That matters exactly where you cannot get a socket in: against a wall, behind a bracket, inside a frame.
A 12 point box end takes twice as many positions as a 6 point, which is the same argument from the other end of the wrench. The trade is that 12 point grips the corners of the nut rather than the flats, so on a badly rounded fastener a 6 point socket is still the better tool.
Raised panel is a shape rather than a coating. It leaves more section in the middle of the shaft, which is where a long wrench bends first, and a wrench that flexes wastes the pull.
Black oxide is a conversion finish. It resists corrosion, it does not chip like plating, and it holds oil, which is the practical reason it is used on tools that live in a damp workshop.
The case is not a detail. Wrenches loose in a drawer are wrenches you sort through; a labelled roll is one you take a size from.

What is a Jumbo Wrench Set?
A Jumbo Wrench Set is a collection of large-sized wrenches designed to handle heavy-duty applications and work on larger bolts and nuts. These wrenches are commonly used in industrial settings and for tasks requiring high torque.
Why is a Jumbo Wrench Set important for mechanics and industrial workers?
A Jumbo Wrench Set is important for mechanics and industrial workers because it allows them to tackle larger fasteners that standard-sized wrenches cannot accommodate. The set provides the necessary leverage for heavy-duty tasks.
Can a Jumbo Wrench Set be used for agricultural equipment maintenance?
Yes, a Jumbo Wrench Set is suitable for agricultural equipment maintenance as many farm machinery components require larger wrenches to perform repairs and adjustments.
How can I choose the right Jumbo Wrench Set for my needs?
To choose the right Jumbo Wrench Set, consider the types of applications you'll be working on, the sizes of fasteners you need to handle, and the quality and durability of the wrenches in the set.
Are Jumbo Wrenches made of special materials for added strength?
Yes, many Jumbo Wrenches are made of high-quality alloy steels, which provide added strength and durability to withstand heavy loads and high torque requirements.
What projects can be accomplished with a 16 Piece SAE 1/4%22 to 1-1/4%22 set?
A 16 Piece SAE 1/4" to 1-1/4" set enables the completion of various projects involving SAE fasteners. It can be used in automotive repairs, household maintenance, plumbing tasks, and other applications where standard-sized nuts and bolts are encountered.
Can a Jumbo Metric Wrench Set be used in combination with other standard-sized wrenches?
Yes, a Jumbo Metric Wrench Set can be used alongside standard-sized wrenches in a toolbox. The combination allows for versatility in handling both small and large fasteners.
Can I use Jumbo Wrenches for automotive repairs?
Yes, Jumbo Wrenches are commonly used in automotive repairs, particularly for heavy-duty applications in trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles.
Are Jumbo Wrench Sets available in both metric and imperial measurements?
Yes, Jumbo Wrench Sets are available in both metric and imperial measurements. Choose the set that matches the measurement system commonly used in your work environment.
Can a Jumbo Wrench Set be used in construction projects?
Yes, a Jumbo Wrench Set is useful in construction projects, especially when assembling large structural components or tightening heavy bolts and nuts.
What sizes does it cover?
SAE 1/4 inch to 1-1/4 inch, which is 6 mm to 32 mm.
What is the finish?
Black oxide, which resists corrosion and rust and holds a light film of oil.
Why a 15 degree offset?
It lets you flip the wrench between pulls, which gives a usable swing in a space too tight for a full turn.
Are the box ends 6 point or 12 point?
12 point, chamfered, which gives twice as many starting positions.
What does raised panel mean?
Extra section left in the shaft where a long wrench would otherwise flex, so more of your pull reaches the fastener.
Are the sizes marked?
Yes, engraved on the wrenches, and the case slots are labelled as well.
Does it come with a case?
Yes, a roll-up case with individual pockets and a hand strap.
Are they metric or imperial?
The set is labelled in SAE sizes with the metric equivalents quoted, from 1/4 inch to 1-1/4 inch, or 6 mm to 32 mm.
What is the style?
16 PIECE SAE 1/4" to 1-1/4"(6mm to 32mm).
How much is delivery?

The complete guide
Getting a stuck fastener undone without rounding it
3 min readIndustry Tools Company UK
Most rounded nuts are made by the person trying to undo them, and usually in the first ten seconds.
Start with the right size. A wrench that is a size over, or an imperial wrench on a metric nut, feels like it fits and rounds the corners on the first real pull. If it rocks at all, it is wrong.
Use the box end where you can. It surrounds the fastener and loads all the corners; an open end loads two flats and spreads them.
Pull, do not push. A pull that slips takes your knuckles away from the work. Where you must push, use an open palm rather than wrapped fingers.
Give it penetrating oil and time. Ten minutes of soaking beats ten more pounds of force on anything rusted, and heat beats both where heat is safe to use.
Do not extend the handle. A cheater bar turns a wrench into a lever that the fastener was never rated for, and what gives is usually the head of the bolt or the wrench itself.
If it starts to round, stop. Move up to a 6 point socket, a nut splitter or a grip wrench. Carrying on with the same tool only makes the next tool's job harder.
Put them back in the roll. A set of sixteen becomes a set of eleven very quickly otherwise.
Ask before you order and we will tell you honestly what the manufacturer states. Free delivery across the UK on orders over £100. What we will not do is tell you a piece of protective equipment suits your hazard: that is your own assessment and the certification marked on the product.
